WordPress websites need regular maintenance to keep everything updated, secure and working properly.

We’ll regularly check your website to make sure updates have completed correctly and that everything is working as expected.

If your website doesn’t already have suitable security protection in place, Screenbuzz will install and configure appropriate security software as part of the maintenance setup.

Your website will also be backed up regularly, giving us a reliable copy to restore from should something go wrong.

Your first year is FREE with every Screenbuzz hosted WordPress website.

HOW OFTEN IS MY WEBSITE CHECKED?

We don’t simply switch on automatic updates and forget about your website.

Screenbuzz regularly checks your WordPress website to make sure the software is up to date, backups are completing correctly, security protection is working and the website is running as expected.

Where updates require attention, we’ll check that they have completed successfully and investigate any problems that arise.

WHAT DOES WEBSITE MAINTENANCE COVER – AND WHAT DOESN’T IT COVER?

The maintenance package covers the routine care needed to keep your existing WordPress website updated, backed up, secure and running properly.

It does not include changes to your website content, new pages, new functionality, redesign work or repairs to problems that existed before the maintenance package began.

If we spot something that needs additional work, we’ll let you know what we’ve found and discuss any costs with you before carrying out the work.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE FREE FIRST YEAR?

At the end of your first year, you can continue with the Screenbuzz Website Care and Security Maintenance Package for £120 per year.

There’s no obligation to continue, but if you do, Screenbuzz will carry on looking after the essential maintenance, backups, updates, security and health of your website.

What does website maintenance include?

Screenbuzz website maintenance covers WordPress core updates, plugin updates, theme updates, website backups, security monitoring, PHP monitoring and general website health checks.

How often will my website be checked?

Your website will be checked regularly throughout the year.

Some updates and processes can run automatically, but Screenbuzz doesn’t simply switch on automatic updates and forget about your website. We’ll periodically check that everything has completed correctly, security protection is working and your website is running properly.

What happens if my website doesn't have security protection?

If your website doesn’t already have suitable security protection, Screenbuzz will install and configure appropriate security software as part of the maintenance setup.

We’ll also check that the protection remains active as part of your ongoing website maintenance.

Are website backups included?

Yes. Regular website backups are included as part of the Website Care and Security Maintenance Package.

These provide a reliable copy of your website that can be used if a problem occurs and the website needs to be restored.

Does website maintenance include changes to my website?

Routine maintenance doesn’t include content changes, new pages, new functionality or redesign work.

But you’re dealing directly with Screenbuzz, so if you need text changed, photographs replaced, a new service added or something else altered, just get in touch. Any additional work will be discussed and quoted separately before we begin.

Can I still update my website myself?

Absolutely. Moving your website to Screenbuzz hosting doesn’t change the way you use your website.

You can still log in and update your own text, images, pages and other content just as you do now.

Website maintenance is separate from content updates. Our maintenance package looks after the technical side of your WordPress website, including software updates, backups, security and website health checks.

So you remain completely in control of your website.

What happens if you find a problem with my website?

If we discover something that needs attention during a maintenance check, we’ll investigate what’s happening and let you know.

If fixing it falls outside the Website Care and Security Maintenance Package, we’ll explain what’s required and discuss any additional cost with you before carrying out the work.

Is website maintenance really FREE for the first year?

Yes. Every WordPress website hosted by Screenbuzz includes the Website Care and Security Maintenance Package FREE for the first year.

That applies whether Screenbuzz builds your new website or you migrate an existing WordPress website onto Screenbuzz hosting.

What happens after my free first year?
